In October 1998, a twenty-one-year-old student at the University of Wyoming was kidnapped, severely beaten, and left to die because he was gay. Members of the Tectonic Theater Project conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of the town and have constructed a deeply moving theatrical experience from these interviews. The Laramie Project is a breathtaking collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable. This play was directed by Judy Reeves, Michele Richey & Sam Martinez and featured Marjory Johnston, Caryn Fulda, Christopher Krause, Chip Davison, Megan Nix, Chris Cancila, Soren Bergegan, Reijon Liboon, Dixie Cooper & Mark Maccato with Marylin Faulkner, Terry Talley & Pamela Branstetter backstage and Kiki Cummings in the tech booth.
