Independence Day at Happy Meadows

Independence Day at Happy Meadows by Laura King
Now Playing until October 18

Growing old doesn't mean growing feeble... It's the 4th of July and the women of Happy Meadows Nursing Home have independence in mind! They're fed up with the rules, the regulations, and especially the food. When senior resident Holly receives a cry for heop from her grandson, she rallies her comrades-in-arms and the women plot a break out. Will Holly and her friends succeed? Perhaps with some fireworks, a large cam of creamed corn, and extensive lengths of rope, they might just have what it takes to outsmart the throughly vexed retimrement home director. This play is directed by Judy Reeves & Soraya Ahmadi and features Jen Norten, Marylin Faulkner, Pamela Branstetter, Peggy Butler, Julie Burks & David Coles with Sam Martinez backstage.

Uh Oh, Here Comes Christmas

Uh Oh, Here Comes Christmas by Ernest Zulia & David Caldwell
Opening Soon on November 7

Fifteen holiday stories from the international best-selling author of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten have been crafted into an engaging evening of storytelling and song. This charming show takes a funny, heartwarming and often poignant look at the struggle to find the spirit of the holidays amid the avalanche of commercialism, stress and chaos that crashes down every December. The many delightful stories include a small immigrant child who comes trick-or-treating in a cheap Santa mask a few days before Christmas, inadvertently delivering the true meaning of the season to a grown-up with a serious case of Scroogitis; hilarious musings about a love/hate relationship with the vibrant poinsettia that arrives in most homes every December and hangs on and on and on, long after the holidays have ended; and a beautiful, deeply moving tribute to the winter solstice, celebrating nature's precious annual gift of rebirth. This play is directed by Elvin Moriarty & Kristen Sheils.
